Dragons play a role in Norse mythology. The most prominent of the dragons is Nidhogg. I found several images that appeared to be remains of long dead dragon giants.
This ice sculpture was shot on Diamond Beach which is in the south east corner of the country. Jökulsárlón is a glacial lagoon, bordering Vatnajökull National Park in southeastern Iceland. This ice lagoon empties into the ocean through a narrow channel. Large pieces of the glacier fall into the lagoon, which melt and break up and ultimately are swept out into the sea and because of the current deposited on the black lava beach. I have seen deposits as long as 1 mile which creates an incredible photography subject rich environment.
